Hello, my name is Ke Li. I am currently a third-year PhD student in Decision Sciences at INSEAD Business School, advised by Spyros Zoumpoulis.
I pursue two distinct but complementary research areas at the intersection of management, artificial intelligence, and decision science.
-
In one stream, I focus on prescriptive analytics by developing data-driven algorithms for for personalized decision-making. My research explores how optimization, estimation, and prediction can be jointly designed to better align with practical managerial objectives in decision environments.
-
In another stream, I study Human–AI collaboration in the scientific process, investigating how machine learning and generative AI can augment research workflows, particularly in theory building. This line of work sits at the intersection of machine learning, generative AI, and meta-science, seeking to understand how AI can support decisions, and how knowledge is generated and refined.
Together, these two streams reflect my commitment to building computationally rigorous, decision-relevant, and scientifically-grounded tools in the broad area of “Human + AI + Decision Science”.
Before joining INSEAD, I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. During my undergraduate studies, I was very fortunate to receive invaluable research guidance from Baoxiang Wang and Yang Li.
I also worked as a full-time reinforcement learning researcher at Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence, and interned as a ML engineer at Microsoft Research Asia, Byte Dance, and Sense Time.
